We know that what matters to you is simple: will Google marketing help my business grow?

The answer is, it definitely should. And all our reporting should (and does) ultimately focus on the ROI being provided. Does $1 in equal $3 back? Does paying $1,000 to us for marketing each month grow my business by MORE than $1,000? Etc.

Frankly, too many companies just talk jargon to their clients, or focus on metrics that don’t matter, or focus too much on just: “your rankings improved” or “you got more traffic”. We focus on “you got this many new customers” because that’s bottom-line what matters.

Unfortunately, online marketing as an industry is notorious for holding businesses hostage in some way or other. Contracts are 1-year+. Companies will do marketing for you (give you a domain name, build you a website, set up tracking data or ads accounts, etc.), but when you leave – they reveal that they own everything and if you leave, they won’t give it to you.

This is so wrong. It happens, and legally it’s often in their fine print, but it is so wrong. This is not the partner you’re looking for.

This is the concept of a “generalist” vs. a “specialist” and the common adage “jack of all trades, master of none”.

There are pro’s and con’s to both.

To be succinct, using a “generalist” has the benefit of having a single point of contact to do many different marketing initiatives moderately well. A “specialist” has the benefit of much more experience in their specific field & being able to potentially generate much more incredible results.

In fact, the best scenario is often when a “generalist” is hired (in-house or 3rd party) as the marketing manager, and “specialists” are hired as part of their team. Bottom-line: you can hire both a “generalist” and then also hire a “specialist” and have them work together to get even better results.

Google constantly seeks out companies it can partner with to both improve its own services as well as the results of the clients who use them. There are two main designations of partners, and each level is very different in the support provided from Google.

Google Partner. This designation simply means you manage at least $20,000 every 90 days in Ad Spend, have accounts that follow 70% of Google’s recommendations (mind you, what Google suggests isn’t always the right move), and have passed a few official Google exams showing you understand the fundamental best practices of Google Ads. This is easy to earn, and nearly every reputable Google Ad agency should have this designation. There may be approximately 15,000+ of these agencies worldwide.

Google Premier Partner. This designation is a much more personal partnership with Google. It is reserved for the Top 3% of Google Partners each year. By our earlier estimation, if there are 15,000+ Google Partners worldwide, there are only 450 Google Premier Partners worldwide. According to Google, “We select Premier Google Partners based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: annual Ads spend across managed accounts, client growth, client retention, and other information. Evaluation is done on an annual basis.”

Additionally, there are unofficial Google Partner status designations, such as Google Managed Agencies and Google Partner All Stars, to name a few. Google reveals little about these programs publicly, however those select few agencies fortunate enough to earn such a designation are often invited to Google HQ for special summits, thinktanks, and events.

Chandler is a beautiful suburban city nestled between Phoenix and Mesa. Originally settled by Dr. Alexander John Chandler, the first veterinary surgeon in the Arizona Territory. The Chandler Center for the Arts, a 1,500-seat regional performing arts venue and the Vision Gallery, a non-profit fine arts gallery representing over 300 regional artists in the Chandler area are located downtown, and the Arizona Railway Museum is at Tumbleweed Park. A 70,000-square-foot (6,500 m2) Holocaust and Tolerance Museum has been slated for construction in Chandler.
