About Lava Lake Lamb

The Lava Lake Land & Livestock company was formed in 1999 with the purchase of Lava Lake, an historic ranch on the Oregon Trail. Because the ranch is bordered on two sides by Craters of the Moon National Monument and on a third by a region that constitutes one of the largest roadless areas in the Lower 48 States, we saw an opportunity to protect a large, connected landscape. Sebo's Relationship with Lava Lake Lamb

In the Fall of 2007, Lava Lake Lamb was in need of a new website. The majority of Lava Lake's business comes from the holiday season so it was imperative that the new site be ready before Thanksgiving. With a big push from both parties, their new website was launched the second week of November in 2007.

The new website and marketing efforts did so well that they were running out of stock in mid-December, and virtually out of stock by January! The previous Lava Lake website did not have SEO rankings and within weeks of Sebo launching the new website they were ranking in the top five Google results for keywords like "organic lamb," "organic lamb chops," and many more. No one had anticipated the increase in traffic and sales as a result of the new website, and in 2008 Lava Lake worked with Sebo to create an "all-natural" line of products so that they could have inventory until the new lambs were ready!
