About Lava Lake Lamb

Lava Lake Lamb produces grass-fed lamb from the Northern Rockies that’s delicious while sustainably and humanely raised. The company was formed in 1999 with the purchase of Lava Lake, an historic ranch on the Oregon Trail. Because the ranch is bordered on two sides by Craters of the Moon National Monument and on a third by a region that constitutes one of the largest roadless areas in the lower 48 states, Lava Lake’s owners saw an opportunity to protect a large, connected landscape. Over time, Lava Lake’s holdings of private land and public grazing leases grew to nearly 1,000,000 acres.
Sebo's Relationship with Lava Lake Lamb
In the fall of 2007, Lava Lake Lamb came to Sebo for a re-design of its website. Much of Lava Lake's business occurs during the holiday season so it was imperative that the new site be ready before Thanksgiving. With a big push from both parties, their new website was launched the second week of November.
The new website and marketing efforts did so well that Lava Lake began running out of stock in mid-December and was virtually out of stock by January! The company’s previous website did not have SEO rankings and within weeks of Sebo launching the new website they were ranking in the top five Google results for keywords like "organic lamb," "organic lamb chops," and many more. Due to the overall increase in traffic and sales, Sebo worked closely with Lava Lake in 2008 to offer its online customers an "all-natural" line so that they would have inventory until the new lamb was ready for market.
